Indian Agent Lack is expecting an uprising...and for a very good reason.

Captain Lee Quince rides to the Oglala Agency after Jim Lack warns of a potential Sioux uprising. Lack, a miserly man, cut rations and took their guns, blaming their unrest on laziness. When the Sioux reclaim their guns, Quince faces a tense standoff, needing to balance military might with fairness to avert bloodshed.

After Jim Lack tells him the Sioux might rebel, Captain Lee Quince heads to the Oglala Agency. Lack is a greedy man who reduced food supplies and took away their weapons, saying the trouble comes from the Sioux being lazy. When the Sioux take back their guns, Quince must handle a dangerous situation where he needs to use both strength and fairness to stop a fight from breaking out.

Fort Laramie is a CBS Radio Western series starring Raymond Burr as Captain Lee Quince. It aired Sunday afternoons January 22–October 28, 1956, at 5:30 pm ET. Produced and directed by Norman Macdonnell, this Western drama depicted life at old Fort Laramie during the 19th Century. The 41 episodes starred Raymond Burr as Lee Quince, captain of the cavalry. One year later, Burr became a television star as Perry Mason.
