Description

Captain Lee Quince arrives in Cheyenne to pick up equipment and two new recruits, Stringer and Medford. Stringer joined the army to leave jail, and Medford, a former Confederate soldier, switched sides. Quince must handle tensions as these unlikely soldiers integrate into the unit, facing the challenges of past loyalties and new duties at Fort Laramie.

An ex-Rebel is assigned to Company B. His hatred for all Yankees is undisguised. The program was recorded September 22, 1956.

Captain Lee Quince comes to Cheyenne to get supplies and pick up two new soldiers, Stringer and Medford. Stringer joined the army to get out of jail, and Medford used to fight for the Confederates but changed sides. Quince has to deal with problems as these different men join his group, dealing with old loyalties and new jobs at Fort Laramie.

Fort Laramie is a CBS Radio Western series starring Raymond Burr as Captain Lee Quince. It aired Sunday afternoons January 22–October 28, 1956, at 5:30 pm ET. Produced and directed by Norman Macdonnell, this Western drama depicted life at old Fort Laramie during the 19th Century. The 41 episodes starred Raymond Burr as Lee Quince, captain of the cavalry. One year later, Burr became a television star as Perry Mason.
