The trials and triumphs of the frontier post at Fort Laramie are related by Captain Lee Quince, who commands the fort's troops and is joined in the burden of leadership by his second-in-command, Major Daggett. The two men and Willa, the post's only woman, watch the unending procession of soldiers come and go.
Captain Lee Quince runs the army base at Fort Laramie and tells the story of the hard times and victories there. Major Daggett helps him lead the troops. Together with Willa, the only woman at the fort, they watch as soldiers keep coming and going without end.
Fort Laramie is a CBS Radio Western series starring Raymond Burr as Captain Lee Quince. It aired Sunday afternoons January 22–October 28, 1956, at 5:30 pm ET. Produced and directed by Norman Macdonnell, this Western drama depicted life at old Fort Laramie during the 19th Century. The 41 episodes starred Raymond Burr as Lee Quince, captain of the cavalry. One year later, Burr became a television star as Perry Mason.
