Quinces Capture

Description

Captain Quince goes to see his sick friend Red Horse, who is sorry he taught his son Snowfoot to hate. Quince wants to find Snowfoot before he hurts people. But new orders come in, and Quince's men must ride out to fight Black Eagle instead, close to where Snowfoot lives. Quince's dream of peace is now in danger as war threatens to break out.

Even though his dying father (Red Horse) has asked for him, a young Indian named Snowfoot will not go onto the Reservation. The story title is also known as "Death Is A Quiet Time." The program was recorded April 5, 1956.

Captain Quince visits his dying friend, Red Horse, who regrets raising his son, Snowfoot, with hate. Quince hopes to find Snowfoot before he turns violent. Orders change, and Quince's unit rides to confront Black Eagle instead, near Snowfoot's camp. Quince's hope for peace hangs in the balance as they face the threat of war.

Fort Laramie is a CBS Radio Western series starring Raymond Burr as Captain Lee Quince. It aired Sunday afternoons January 22–October 28, 1956, at 5:30 pm ET. Produced and directed by Norman Macdonnell, this Western drama depicted life at old Fort Laramie during the 19th Century. The 41 episodes starred Raymond Burr as Lee Quince, captain of the cavalry. One year later, Burr became a television star as Perry Mason.
