Description
Captain Quince faces trouble when young Lieutenant Seiberts, fresh from West Point, disobeys orders during a horse delivery mission, leading to an Indian ambush and a lost trooper. Quince takes the blame and plans a mission to recover stolen horses. He trusts Seiberts as his second-in-command, hoping to teach him frontier ways.
When a new West Point graduate named Lieutenant Seiberts ignores Captain Quince's commands during a horse transport job, Indians attack and kill one of their men. Quince accepts responsibility for the disaster and organizes a plan to get their horses back. He gives Seiberts another chance by making him his deputy, wanting to show him how things work on the frontier.
Lieutenant Seiberts has disobeyed orders for what he thought was good reason. A battle of wits with Squaw Dog follows.
