In the 1870s Wyoming Territory, Captain Lee Quince is tasked with finding two missing Beasley girls after a brutal Sioux attack on a wagon train. With limited men, Quince strikes a deal with captured Sioux chief Big Elk for the girls' location. At dawn, they ride out, hoping to trade for the girls' safe return.

In 1870s Wyoming Territory, Captain Lee Quince must locate two missing Beasley girls following a savage Sioux raid on a wagon train. Short on soldiers, Quince makes an agreement with imprisoned Sioux leader Big Elk to learn where the girls are being held. At sunrise, they head out together, planning to exchange something for the girls' freedom.

Captain Quince plans to exchange a captured Sioux chief for two prisoner "white women" held by the Indians, and almost succeeds.

Fort Laramie is a CBS Radio Western series starring Raymond Burr as Captain Lee Quince. It aired Sunday afternoons January 22–October 28, 1956, at 5:30 pm ET. Produced and directed by Norman Macdonnell, this Western drama depicted life at old Fort Laramie during the 19th Century. The 41 episodes starred Raymond Burr as Lee Quince, captain of the cavalry. One year later, Burr became a television star as Perry Mason.
