Description
Captain Lee Quince meets Will Banion, a former soldier who wants to re-enlist after losing everything in a poker game. Banion, now a sergeant, faces resentment from Sergeant Gorse, who doubts his worth. Quince must manage the tension and hopes Banion proves himself in the ranks.
Former soldier Will Banion loses all his money gambling and asks Captain Lee Quince to let him join the army again. After Banion becomes a sergeant, Sergeant Gorse doesn't trust him and thinks he's no good. Captain Quince has to deal with the bad feelings between the men while hoping Banion will show he's a good soldier.
The story of a man who was in the army...but never really a soldier, who re-enlists, but for a strange reason.
Fort Laramie is a CBS Radio Western series starring Raymond Burr as Captain Lee Quince. It aired Sunday afternoons January 22–October 28, 1956, at 5:30 pm ET. Produced and directed by Norman Macdonnell, this Western drama depicted life at old Fort Laramie during the 19th Century. The 41 episodes starred Raymond Burr as Lee Quince, captain of the cavalry. One year later, Burr became a television star as Perry Mason.
