Description

Captain Lee Quince and his men at Fort Laramie struggle with no pay for months. Tempers flare as troopers run out of credit and patience. The paymaster is delayed, leading to unrest. Quince pushes for answers, aiming to calm the troops and ensure they hold on until the money arrives, keeping order in tough times.

At Fort Laramie, Captain Lee Quince and his soldiers haven't been paid in months. The men are getting angry because they have no money left and are tired of waiting. Since the paymaster hasn't shown up, the troops are starting to cause trouble. Quince works hard to find out what's happening so he can keep his men calm and make sure they don't give up before their pay finally comes.

Fort Laramie is a CBS Radio Western series starring Raymond Burr as Captain Lee Quince. It aired Sunday afternoons January 22–October 28, 1956, at 5:30 pm ET. Produced and directed by Norman Macdonnell, this Western drama depicted life at old Fort Laramie during the 19th Century. The 41 episodes starred Raymond Burr as Lee Quince, captain of the cavalry. One year later, Burr became a television star as Perry Mason.
