Description

A young boy named Jed survives an Indian massacre and joins the army afterward. The program was recorded May 17, 1956.

Captain Lee Quince and his soldiers come across a wrecked train filled with dead people. They think the Cheyenne attacked it. During their search, Quince finds a boy called Jed who lived through an attack on his house. Quince gives Jed food and a safe place at their camp, wanting to help the young soldier get better after seeing such terrible things.

Captain Lee Quince and his men find a derailed train, with many dead. They suspect Cheyenne did it. While searching, Quince discovers a boy named Jed, who survived an attack on his home. Quince offers Jed food and safety at the camp, hoping to help the young trooper heal from the horror he witnessed.

Fort Laramie is a CBS Radio Western series starring Raymond Burr as Captain Lee Quince. It aired Sunday afternoons January 22–October 28, 1956, at 5:30 pm ET. Produced and directed by Norman Macdonnell, this Western drama depicted life at old Fort Laramie during the 19th Century. The 41 episodes starred Raymond Burr as Lee Quince, captain of the cavalry. One year later, Burr became a television star as Perry Mason.
