In 1880s Montana Territory, English newspaper writer J.B. Kendall becomes friends with a young gold hunter named Bill Richmond. Their quiet life gets turned upside down when money-hungry claim jumpers try to take Bill's gold mine. Kendall outfoxes the crooks, saves Bill's treasure, and gives him the courage to go back to Kentucky with his dreams come true.
