Television actor Ben Gamble feels let down by life in Eucalyptus Heights, but gets pulled into a battle to protect his town from new development. His fight uncovers dirty dealings by the mayor and sparks a vote to remove him from office. Ben chooses to go back to acting while the town's fresh leader, Brad Nelson, takes over the job of cleaning up local government.

Ben Gamble, a disenchanted television actor living in Eucalyptus Heights, is drawn into a fight to save the town from encroaching modernization. His crusade exposes the mayor’s corruption and leads to a recall election. Ben decides to return to acting and let the town’s new leader, Brad Nelson, carry on the work of civic reform.
