Navy veteran Steve Corey comes to Hollywood in 1957 hoping to become a famous actor. Even though a fortune teller tells him he will be a star, he gets turned down for roles and runs out of money, which causes problems with Vicki. When Vicki gives him a final warning, Steve must take a hard look at his life and get his act together, which helps him grow up and win her back.

Steve Corey, a Navy veteran, arrives in 1957 Hollywood with dreams of stardom. Despite a psychic's prophecy of fame, he faces rejections and financial troubles, leading to tensions with Vicki. An ultimatum from Vicki forces Steve to reassess and find stability, leading to personal growth and reconciliation.

Sears Radio Theater was a radio drama anthology series which ran weeknights on CBS Radio in 1979, sponsored by the Sears chain. Often paired with The CBS Radio Mystery Theater during its first season, the program offered a different genre of drama for each evening's broadcast.
