If You Believe

A newspaper writer thinks his stories can change what people believe, so he convinces everyone that scientists are making a monster in their lab. Sometimes when people believe hard enough, things become real.

Every Saturday night, the Columbia Workshop will present new original plays, starting with this series. This first story follows a young girl who remembers a Christmas when her uncle, who couldn't make his inventions work, brought home an odd little creature. The creature looked like a toy that was alive, but it could think for itself.

The first of a series of original plays by the Columbia Workshop which will be presented every Saturday night. In this one, a young girl recalls a Christmas when her uncle, a failed inventor, brought home a strange little creature that turns out to be a living toy, but also to have a mind of its own.
