A story set after the next atomic war. A woman dares to look out of the window, and sees a man who lives unprotected in the open air.

After the war ends, Effie lives underground but sneaks out at night and meets a stranger who makes her question her husband's beliefs.

In a postwar bunker, Effie risks forbidden moonlight and meets an outsider who challenges everything her husband believes.
