Ambush In Bellary Flats

Corporal Bill Buckland of the Northwest Mounted Police travels on snowshoes through desolate country miles from the settlement of Bellary Flats. At a remote homestead, young Johnny tries to carry dried fish to the dog run but freezes in terror when the hungry dogs crowd toward him, and his mother pulls him back inside. Cub West and his men then push into the Wrights' kitchen asking whether anyone else is there.
