A man who calls himself Promos displays a strange control over fire and demands $1 million for his secret Promethean Society from corporation chief Vern Marcus. Marcus digs into history to learn that the secret society is dedicated to doing something about the lack of morality in the world today. Those who refuse Promos, Marcus and his daughter Ava learn, wind up in wheelchairs with third degree burns. Notes: This marked Julie Newmar’s first appearance on Theater. Newmar’s television credits range from the female robot Rhoda Miller on My Living Doll to Cat Woman (for one year) on Batman.
