Marcy Virtue brings home an antique table she thinks is worth much more than the $25 she paid for it. Her husband brings her back to Earth when he proves it is a U.S. mass-produced piece of furniture. But then she discovers the table has a secret drawer containing a .38 revolver with the owner’s name and address engraved on it. Marcy insists on returning the gun to its owner—a mistake, because she immediately finds herself involved in an unsolved murder.
