One of the Missing

CBS Radio Mystery Theater "One of the Missing" is a Mystery from Thursday, January 1, 1976.

It's a hot June day in 1864 near Georgia's Kennesaw Mountain, where General Sherman's troops have passed in their cause of Johnny Reb. Private Jerome Searing, who doesn't know the meaning of the word "fear," volunteers to scout the enemy's rear lines. But instead of merely spying, the foolhardy Searing wants to become a hero by killing a few rebs before returning to his own lines. The brave Union soldier soon causes himself to become a dead hero.
