Two Spanish adventurers in the New World scheme to discover enormous wealth. Pedro de Zamora, a clever sergeant in the service of Ponce de Leon, and his reluctant aide, Diego Alvarado, join in a plot to convince their leader that they have discovered the Fountain of Youth. A weary but hopeful de Leon agrees to sail to unexplored Florida to find the fabled elixir. The Spaniards find their water, but instead of youth de Leon finds something else.
