Theatrical agent Gary Stewart and his actress wife, Kitty, are awakened at 6:00 A.M. by a frantic phone call from Mona Clayton, who pleads with them to come and open her stuck bedroom door. Kitty volunteers to go but takes her time getting to Mona, a claustrophobic who fears the bedroom walls are closing in on her. Gary finally has to help, but it’s too late—Mona has jumped sixteen stories to her death. Only Gary thinks he knows why.
