When he begins to plan his retirement days, Stanley Haskins is shocked to learn that his boyhood friend and boss, Joe Jessup, expects him to collect his own pension from kickbacks paid to him as Joe’s office manager. Faced with a future of poverty because he was honest, Stanley threatens to kill Joe. However, the appearance of Mr. Smith, whose business is evil, soon changes the course of events for both Joe and Stanley.
