Henry Joyce, a wealthy man, initially thinks his son Jack has gone bananas, but when his condition worsens he follows Jack’s advice: to get a cat and imitate it, because a cat is the most relaxed of all animals. Miraculously, Henry begins to feel better and ultimately becomes so fond of the cat that, much to his son’s consternation, he decides to change his will, leaving much of his fortune to the therapeutic feline.
