All of his business associates are jealous of Franklyn J. Wilkinson, who has the most beautiful, understanding wife imaginable. He’s a very happy man until one day, during a company-sponsored afternoon of golf, he is accosted by a man named Haskins who claims he had been married to Wilkinson’s wife, Wendy, and that he had left her because she had tried to murder him. “Leave her,” Haskins insists, “before she kills you.” Wilkins doesn’t believe him, but Haskins is persistent, so persistent that Wilkinson is soon not sure what to believe.
